Shortly before noon, Truck and Engine 88 were dispatched to assist company 49 on a 2 alarm job at the ABC Bowling lanes. Truck 88(Capt Whitebread) responded with 6, and the Engine(Capt Coble) responded with a crew of 4 within minutes. Upon Truck 88 arriving crews setup the truck and went into service with the buckets master stream. Engine 88 arrived setting up a tanker shuttle operation at the front of the structure, with the crew being assigned to Side Charlie operations with lines off Truck 50 to protect the surrounding wooded area from large falling embers and debris. Once the bulk of the fire was extinguished with the master streams, crews then went inside to mop up. Crews were out for 6 1/2 hrs.
