Today at 15:24 hours, Company 88, E59, E54, E7-4-1, L46, and R59 were dispatched to 18 Caravan Court in the 88-2 Box for a structure fire. Chief 88(Scheetz), Chief 88-2(Krupilis), and Engine 88(Capt Fink) responded shortly after dispatched and were advised of a shed on fire attached to a mobile home, with reports of two dogs inside. Chief 88-2 arrived to find a small metal shed, attached to the home, with smoke showing and unknown extension into the home. Engine 88 then arrived and the crew pulled a line to finish extinguishment, which was started by a neighbor with a garden hose. Truck 88(Capt Coble) arrived shortly after the Engine and assisted with forcing entry through the double steel doors of the home. Entry was made and crews confirmed no extension. Engine 88-1(Capt Whitebread) and Rescue 88(FF Webb) then arrived but quickly returned as Command held the box to the Truck and Engine 88. The crews then assisted FM 88-1(Cleland) with his investigation before the box was placed in service. Crews out for a little over 30 minutes.
