CREWS ENJOY THE 2006 FIREMANS BANQUET
2/24/2007 - This evening members of the MVFD enjoyed their annual firemans banquet. That night also marked a historical moment for the MVFD, Thanks to the Middletown Fire Dept Auxiliary, they presented a check to the fire department in the amount of 10,000 dollars which made the department debt free!! On behalf of all the members of the MVFD we thank the auxiliary. We would also like to thank the Palmyra fire company and Linglestown fire company for standing by while the MVFD enjoyed the festivities..




TRUCK 88 TRANSFERS, THEN GOES TO THE SCENE
2/14/2007 - Just when the members thought they would get some R&R time, they were wrong. Shortly after 2200hrs tonight Truck 88 was dispatched to transfer to Lancaster County station 7-5 while they operated on a 2nd alarm structure fire. Truck 88 (A/C Krupilis) responded with four. BAD WEATHER BRINGS A BUSY DAY TO THE MVFD
2/14/2007 - Today, while Chief 88 (Scheetz) was heading to the station, he was flagged over by some kids. When the chief went to see what was wrong, the kids told him that their pet rabbit had gotten out the night before and was now found underneath a car, Since the rabbit couldn’t get out due to the snow the chief called the county and had them dispatch Rescue 88 to assist in the extercation. CONGRATULATIONS

2/08/2007 - Congratulations to Firefighter Mike Foreman for successfully completing the PA Dept. of Health EMT-B class through HACC. Firefighter Foreman endured two evenings per week for 6 long months of hard work and a lot of anxiety. Again CONGRATULATIONS and the current EMT’s of the department can’t wait to see you on medical assists so you can do the trip sheets.


CREWS FREE LITTLE GIRL FROM RECLINER
2/08/2007 - Shortly after lunchtime today, Rescue 88, along with MICU 7-3(South Central EMS) was dispatched to Aspen Street in the 88-2 box for an extremity rescue. Chief 88-1(D/C Whitebread, Sr.) responded within seconds and was advised of a child stuck in a recliner chair. Rescue 88(Capt. WORKING FIRE IN LONDONDERRY
2/07/2007 - Shortly before 04:00 hours this morning, Dauphin County toned out Company 54(Londonderry), Engine 88-1, Rescue 88, and other mutual aid units to Geyers Church Road at Foxianna Road for a structure fire. At the response of Chief 54-1(Nissley), County advised the caller was a passer-by reporting a mobile home fully engulfed. TRUCK TRANSFERS TO LINGLESTOWN
2/05/2007 - Shortly after 04:00 hours this morning, Dauphin County alerted for the Truck to transfer to Linglestown Station 35 while Co. 35 and mutual aid companies operated at a barn fire in the 35-8 Box. Truck 88(Chief Scheetz) arrived at Station 35 and stood by with Lebanon Engine 1-1(Palmyra). Crews remained at Station 35 without running any calls until shortly after 07:00 hours when Command 35(Chief Pierich) placed the box in service. More pictures of the barn fire at the link below
