Thursday was an extremely horrible day for us as we watched the building that housed so many of our memories fall to the ground. With extreme kindness and generosity, the 88 crew members assisted in any way that they possibly could. We were updated with the latest information when possible, and you all risked your lives to try and salvage what was left of the Mansion House.Some of you were there for over 12 hours and still managed to smile We all feel that you all went above and beyond to help our family, and your actions were/are greatly appreciated. Words could not describe how very thankful we are for all of you!
Great job on the 1910 Fire article. I've seen several photos from that conflagration before. I believe my former jumpseat partner C. Murray has them in his collection. I'm not sure, but there may be a few current retired members in those photo's (Gravy, D.G. Graham, Fang and a few others). Again a great job! Take care and stay safe!
