ANOTHER TRUCK TRANSFER, THIS TIME TO A DIFFERENT STATION #1
Sat, Jul 25th, 2015 6:00:00 am Around 06:00 this morning, Truck 88 was dispatched to transfer to Harrisburg City Fire Station #1 with Engine 32(Progress), while Harrisburg and several other departments worked a 3 Alarm fire on Seneca Street.  The Truck(D/C Coble) transferred with 4 personnel and while on standby, ran an AFA in the downtown district, with the other transfer companies from Station 2 and Wagon 4.  The alarm was quickly found to be false and all transfer companies returned to the city stations.  Truck 88 and Engine 32 remained at Station 1 until released by Chief 4 just before 11:00.  Later in the evening, The 88-3 box was dropped for a report of smoke from the window of a house at the intersection of Ann and South Catherine Streets.  Engine 88 was on the street immediately and arrived with Chief 88-2(Whitebread, Jr) in the area with nothing evident.  A quick investigation found the source to be residents using a charcoal grill in the back yard, and the box was quickly placed in service.
