COMPANY 88 RUNS 4 CALLS FOR THE DAY
Wed, Jan 13th, 2010 11:05:00 pm  Today was a busy day for Company 88 being dispatched to a total of four calls.

Crews Started the day off with being dispatched to Conoy Twp around 09:00 this morning to assist Company 7-1 with a dwelling fire.  Truck 88 (Lt. Shope) responded with a crew of three and upon arrival Command had the truck crew go interior and check for extension, throw ground ladders to the rear, and set up ventilation.  The truck crew found no extension and setup positive pressure to side A and after the structure was ventilated Command 7-1 released the tower. Crews operated for approx. 45 minutes.  Great job to the companies that operated on scene on the quick knock on the fire.

Shortly after returning to the Station Truck 88 was dispatched to respond to the 59-3 box to 1001 AIP Drive for an AFA. Chief 59 quickly held the box to himself after county advised him of a 13" water main break that set the alarm off.

Later in the evening while members were having training members were alerted to the 88-2 box 102 Pathfinder Drive for smoke in a structure.  Engine 88 (Lt Shope) responded right after dispatch with a crew of seven and Truck 88 (Capt. Scheetz) responded shortly after that with a crew of three.  Chief 88-2 (Krupilis) arrived on scene with nothing showing.  Engine 88 arrived and investigated and found the source to be a furnace malfunction.  The box was quickly held to Company 88.

Shortly after returning to the station and resuming the training Truck and Rescue 88 were dispatched to respond to Masonic Village in West Donegal Twp Company 7-4's first due for a building fire.  Truck 88 (Capt. Scheetz) responded with a crew of 4 and Rescue 88 (Chief Krupilis) responded with a crew of 4.  Truck 88 arrived on scene and was given the assignment to setup positive pressure.  Rescue 88 arrived on scene and was given the assignment to stage.  Crews then went available a short time after.
