| MOBILE HOME FIRE IN ROYALTON |
| Sun, Jan 10th, 2010 7:49:00 pm
This morning at 11:21 Dauphin County Communications alerted units to respond to 212 Dock St. for a structure fire. Capt. 88 (Whitebread Jr.) responded seconds after dispatch and informed County that he had a column from Main St. and Union St. and requested his full first alarm. Engine 88 (Lt. Shope) responded shortly after with a crew of 6. The Engine arrived a short time after grabbing a near by plug and dropping a supply line to the scene. Capt. 88 arrived on scene with a working mobile home fire and was advised that everyone was to be out of the structure. Capt 88 also requested EMS to transport 1 burn patient to be treated for burns to the face. Truck 88 (Capt. Scheetz) responded with a crew of 5 and arrived on scene and assisted the engine crew with extinguishment after finding there was no need for the truck to go into service. Rescue 88 (FF. Fallinger) responded then shortly after with a crew of 3 and assisted with manpower. Crews made an aggressive attack and opened the side of the mobile home up to help gain control on the fire. Control was marked at 11:59 and most units were then released. Engine 88 was held to assist the FM's with their investigation and to do some mop up. At 13:59 crews went available. Job well done by all who were on scene with no injuries being reported. |
