Today to start off the morning, Company 88 was dispatched for a single engine response to the Middletown Police Station for smoke in the building, Right after that engine was hit out, the truck was dispatched to assist EMS with an extrication out of a 3rd story window. Engine 88 arrived and was advised that the smoke had been coming from a new exhaust pipe that had been installed on a generator in the basement. After a quick investigation, Capt Whitebread placed the box in service and the Engine crew responded to assist the Truck. While half of the 88 crew setup the truck and went to the window, the other half assisted EMS with patient care. The crew removed the patient from the house and the box was placed in service. Once the crew came back to the station, the Truck was dispatched to Lower Swatara for a fire alarm. And this evening, Rescue 88 ran 3 medical assists.
