Just before midnight this evening, Truck 88 was dispatched to relocate to Palmyra Fire Station 1 while Palmyra Fire and surrounding companies worked a structure fire involving a duplex and ASK Foods on East Main Street @ Chestnut Street. Truck 88 (Chief Scheetz) responded on the transfer within minutes with a crew of six. Upon arriving at Station 1, Lebanon County requested the Truck to stage at the Turkey Hill while they checked with Command 1 (Dugan) to see if the Truck’s services were needed. While staging, Command 1 assigned the Truck to take a position on Side Delta with Wagon 1 to assist with aerial overhaul and master stream ops. The Truck was quickly placed into service and the Truck crew began overhaul of the roof on the ASK Foods building. The bucket crew then went into master stream ops with Tower 5 (Annville). The Truck then ceased master stream ops but was quickly put back into service as interior overhaul crews found more fire in the ceilings.
